I grew up in a small town called Lancaster, SC and I love all things rustic, western, native american, and country! I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences. Shortly after graduation I landed the job as NASCAR's Miss Sprint Cup! I was able to travel the country to every race track, work as a brand ambassador, reporter, emcee, and host!
After my tenure as Miss Sprint Cup, I began working for KrugerFarms.com in Minnesota as their spokesperson and social media manager. I hosts their KrugerCuts videos and love getting to take clients hunting and fishing! While working for Kruger farms I was cast for season 2 of CMT's show "Sweet Home Alabama." I was then cast as the star bachelorette on season 3 of the show and had my pick between country and city boys.
While duck hunting one day with Kruger Farms, I realized how beautiful these feathers were. Now not only do we have a delicious supper, but there had the be a way to show off my country pride without an expensive bird mount. I started wearing feather earrings before they were cool and I've always like to start a new style. With so many feather earring options available, I wanted something unique. Feather earrings made from farmed duck feathers as a representation of our duck hunts and actually pheasant feathers from pheasants we hunted and handplucked! Ruffled Feathers by Paige Duke began! Well, there is no sense in keeping something beautiful for yourself and after seeing the positive feedback I got from these earrings I decide to make them for others. After all, feathers are SO in style right now...why not have handcrafted earrings.
